In Curse Of Strahd, Marzena met Pack, asking them to free her and warning them that they were being watched. She also requested that they kill Mishka; though they were attacked by the young man, the Pack refused, leaving her chained in the courtyard.
Marzena was a Mongrelfolk created by The Abbot, residing in the Abbey of Saint Markovia. Like all other members of the Belview family, she lived a short and tortured life, though unlike many of the mongrels, she possessed the ability to fly, with bat-like wings protruding from her shoulders. She had spider mandibles and teeth that replaced her human mouth, large clawed hands, and a cloven hoof in place of her right foot.
Marzena had a habit of constantly whispering madness to herself, as she thought she was always being watched by powerful enemies, but was quite demure when interacting with others. She hated her younger brother, Mishka Belview, who had grown fond of killing others; after Mishka once attacked her, she attempted to fly away. The Abbot's right-hand man, Clovin Belview, noticed and shot her down with a crossbow.
The Abbot healed her, but as punishment, Clovin had Marzena chained to a post close to her brother's well, though forbid him from getting within five feet of her. The mongrelwoman was kept there for the rest of her life.
