Auric is a warrior of the Razor Wind. He experienced a crisis of faith and conscience after his group captured Arvel, Daruuc, Denzel and Voraash (and killed Kauth), resulting in him rescuing them from the encampment and escaping, where he encountered Talana'aashta and later the party.
Auric has been experiencing audible hallucinations since his crisis of faith, a voice that guides him, which Valaari suspects to be Kalok Shash.
