We return to the Agate Seekers as they arrive in Sligac. First thing the party does is ask around for a local tavern and if anyone had seen Ylos Asol; and a few did. He supposedly went to the "Lost Sea Bass Tavern and Inn". There, they did indeed find Ylos, currently being comforted by none other than Samuel O'Lenaghan, the werewolf paladin that the party helped a long time ago. After telling the party that Ylos had been scammed by a local magic item merchant, as he had been told he had info on his sister Osci, but didn't actually and used his vulnerability to make him buy his wares at a markup.
At the recommendation of Samuel and Ylos, and after a nice fish lunch, the party then decided, before moving on and making their way towards Dulenn, the party decided to do a small bit of shopping for tools, since Sligac is known for toolsmithing; with Dareth Lion'el Griffmane buying a set of Smith's tools, and Zora buying some leatherworker's tools. At the recomendation of the blacksmith however, the party heard of the only magic item shop in town; the Skeleton's Closet, and putting two and two together with what happened to Ylos, the party gave it a visit.
There, they saw a Kenku shopkeeper, counting money and smiling to himself; the man who scammed Ylos. That's where Dareth, Volk Lesnoy and Sooty decided to mischievously scam him out of his own stock and money using their silver tongues and a bit of deception, and managed to do so, making away with several magic items and a ton of Gold.
The party then made their way to their first layover in the town of Tulach. On the way, however, they noticed three Werebears, foaming at the mouth and clearly infected with Malar's Fever, fighting a fourth, much bigger Werebear. At Volk's urging, the party jumped in to help. After knocking out those werebears, and Samuel doing his best to rid them of Malar's Fever, the party was then introduced to Diarmuid O'Kellan, a Dire-Werebear who hired these three others on a trip to a hunting grounds to the west... only for them to turn out to be infected. But then he noticed Mikhail... And realized that he gave him a magic bean, a long long time ago. He was told by a weird wizard man to give them to people, and it turned out that to some, they did indeed bring fortune... sadly not for the party. Once the three werebears finally recovered, Diarmuid took them with him and departed, saying goodbye to the party.
After a day-long layover at Tulach, where the party stayed in the Swift Raven Pub for the night; an establishment owned by a civilized Gnoll worshiper of The Raven Queen. After some very meat-filled dishes for Dinner and for Breakfast, the party finally departed towards further south.
On the way, they were noticed by a group of, seemingly, mercenaries. The leader approached the party with his dog, asking for assistance. They were looking for an escaped, very dangerous convict who stole an important artifact. And then, he showed a colorized photo of a scruffy, brown-haired man with grey eyes in banged up metal armor, as well as a blade made from bone. Dareth immediately realized what was going on, shaking slightly in anger with his hand on the grip of his sword. Mikhail, who also caught on, tried to diffuse the situation, by lying, and saying that they were coming from the west and not heading south, so they didn't know that man...
...only for Ylos to completely miss every single red flag and forgetting to read the room, asking what's going on, telling them that they came from the north and are indeed going towards Dulenn, and then even namedropping Dareth... Which turned out to be bad, as the other group turned out to be some very high-ranking looking members of The Bloodletters, as Dareth took the opportunity to strike and disrupt the illusion around them. And a fight was started.
