Trial of Ke'avuur in the Flames of the Primordials, retrieving the Primordial Shard of Fire.

Start: 9th of Tamtir, late afternoon, emerging from the Stone Giants cave homes, observing the volcano of the southern Isle of Reus explode, with a figure (Lodd) shooting out of it towards the Cloud Giant clouds. Bill's Bimbos would level up to 11 upon next long rest.
The party rested on the southern beach of the west Isle of Reus, overlooking the ash-choked south island under Nesdin's hut. They observed increasingly volatile natural phenomena: taller waves, more powerful tremors, increased ash and smoke obscuring the Fire Giant island, and as dawn neared, lightning strikes began to coalesce through the central, floating clouds of the Cloud Giants.
10th of Tamtir, morning. The party leveled up to 11. They entered their Abyssal Pontoon and crossed the waterway to the south isle. On the blackened sand and obsidian glass-strewn beach of the west island. Nesdin walked ahead, and narrowly dodged a large steel and obsidian bear trap which was hidden under the sands. Aoife Sweeney crept ahead and hit a second one, which clamped around her leg. She was freed by Tar Runo, but the loud clang drew the attention of some Fire Giants obscured by the ash cloud. They retreated to the shore, and sprinted south and east along the beach.
Bill's Bimbos lost their pursuers, and came to the tall, metal exterior wall of the Fire Giant settlement. They got back in the boat and swam out and around the wall. Sailing closer to the volcano, the boat was spotted by a spotlight. With the combined efforts of Calliope, Arwa Hathspelt, and Crax Goobadink, everyone turned invisible and abandoned ship, running to shore as the spotlight caught the empty Abyssal Pontoon sailing idly out to sea. The invisible party avoided the Fire Giant scouts who'd gone to investigate the boat. Coming to the inner metal wall, the party followed a pair of Fire Giants towards a commotion - a group of Fire Giants repairing a Lodd-shaped hole in the wall. The gang tried to sneak past, but Tar Runo got caught. Aoife Sweeney and Arwa Hathspelt set off loud noises near the wall to distract while Tar Runo pushed the Fire Giant she bumped against into the molten steel being poured into the foundation of the wall, but not before she was heavily wounded by his wild strikes.
Recovering from their close call, the party navigated the dark metal and obsidian streets of the Fire Giant compound which surrounded the volcano. Bill's Bimbos bee-lined to the volcano, and climbed arduously and through the ash and smoke up to the top of the volcano. Ormund Vanstein pointed out the swirling red and black sphere hovering just above the lava's surface as the portal to the Flames of the Primordials. Everyone held hands and jumped, using feather fall to better control their fall and avoid the jets of magma and enter the next Chaos plane.
Bill's Bimbos slid down a slide of obsidian and settled on the magma geyser-strewn barren landscape of the Flames of the Primordials. In the distance were continuously erupting obsidian volcanoes, and ahead was a massive orb of fire floating high above a slowly growing sea of lava. The orb grew a massive black slit, and the eye of Ke'avuur greeted Bill's Bimbos as they approached him. Ormund Vanstein and Aoife Sweeney translated that Ke'avuur recognized the group's strength from their acquisition of the shards of Syvyys and Juuri. He asked the group to stop the flow of a volcano in exchange for a Primordial Shard of Fire. Aoife Sweeney also gleaned that Ke'avuur wanted to reduce the lava outflow in order to reduce the impossible to manage energy input which has overloaded Ke'avuur's being since his imprisonment by the Diviners. They saw a shattered volcano several miles away, which indicated that Lodd smashed it to earn his shard. The party walked through the igneous desert and approached the chosen volcano. Cresting the top of the actively exploding volcano, an Aspect of Fire emerged from the lava flow to guard the volcano, while a Lava Nexus floated above the center of the expulsion.
