Pelegon V Pelegon, also called Pelegon the Peacemaker, was the fourteenth Shahanshah. Pelegon V came to power following the end of the Years of Blood and Iron. After the death of his father, Beldoran Pelegon, he inherited his father's claim to the Golden Falcon Throne and ascended the throne after the Beldonians' victory in the Years of Blood and Iron. 

Pelegon V was considered a man of great irony and inconsistency. A tactician of near-unmatched skill and a fearless whirlwind on the battlefield, he was very timid and weak-willed in peacetime and especially in politics. As Shahanshah, he was largely considered a puppet of his uncle, Prince Abbos Pelegon, who was his Grand Vizier. He died in V 198 as an epidemic of sweating sickness struck Arcanopolis. Upon his death, he was succeeded by his sister, Odyssa I as he had not borne any children.
