Pelegon V Pelegon, also called Pelegon the Peacemaker, was the fourteenth Shahanshah. Pelegon V came to power following the end of the Years of Blood and Iron. After the death of his father, Beldoran Pelegon, he inherited his father's claim to the Golden Falcon Throne and ascended the throne after the Beldonians' victory in the Years of Blood and Iron. Though earnest and kind, he was also weak-willed and allowed his uncle, Abbos Pelegon, to rule through him as Grand Vizier. He died in V 198 as an epidemic of sweating sickness struck Arcanopolis. Upon his death, he was succeeded by his sister, Odyssa I as he had not borne any children.
