Prince Veron Kazimir, remembered as Veron the Golden or the Golden Prince, was the grandson and heir of Sun Emperor/King Marka II Kazimir.
Following the Conquest of Byuntun, Prince Veron was taken to Arcanopolis as a hostage of the Golden Falcon Throne. A charming and charismatic boy with great skill at arms, he quickly became a favorite at court and a respected comrade of Shahanshah Pelegon VI. He became known as the Golden Prince for his charisma, talent, and golden hair. Prince Veron fought alongside his Shahanshah with great distinction during his many wars and became a major battlefield commander during Pelegon's Folly. During the Battle of Red Sands, Prince Veron was unhorsed. As he regained his footing, he was surrounded on all sides by Badawi riders and butchered.
Prince Veron was bitterly mourned in Byuntun, as it made his young son, Prince Vladaman, the heir to Byuntun. King Marka would die within two years of his grandson, and the reign of the boy-king Vladaman would be very troubled.
