In Curse Of Strahd, Zygfrek met the Pack, and Atlas Atruvian magically charmed her into letting them wander the Abbey grounds once Otto Belview had left to ask The Abbot's permission. She eventually could not handle the stress of having left her guard post, and wandered back to it alone through the mists.
Zygfrek was a Mongrelfolk created by the The Abbot, residing in the Abbey of Saint Markovia. Like all other members of the Belview family, she lived a short and tortured life. The left side of her face and body was covered in lizard scales, and the right with tufts of grey wolf fur; she had a feline left eye, and her finder and hands resembled cat's paws with opposable thumbs. She was comparatively perceptive for a mongrelfolk, however, and thus was given guard duty of the Abbey by The Abbot's right-hand man, Clovin Belview.
Zygfrek believed that every other living being was constantly judging her, and despite her timid nature, grew angry whenever she noticed she was being observed. This proved a challenging prospect for anyone approaching the Abbey, as the mongrelwoman could get violent if they looked at her during conversation.
