Bill Brouwen expressed his concern at returning to Sedesend: ex wife, prior law troubles after selling sewer water as potions to the local nobility

Patchoul, a local farmer, offered her domesticated owlbears as mounts for the party

• Aoife Sweeney bought an owlbear and gear for 416 gp, named him Specter (uses Warhorse stats for mount purposes)
  
• Crax Goobadink bought a riding horse and gear for 91 gp, she was already named No Name
  
• Basic gear (harness, saddle, and saddlebags) cost 16 gp and weigh 34 lbs.

• Day 4, 5th of Houden: Encounter with traveling merchant Mortimer. Party purchased several animals from Mortimer's Traveling Animal Cart:
  • Rohtagels purchased a blood hawk, now named Hawky
  • Aoife Sweeney purchased a bilby, now named Bucket
    
  • The group observed the oil-filled cage of one Boggle, but did not purchase him
  • Aoife Sweeney made a telepathic connection with a Dohwar, who asked to be released from their bonds. Rohtagels purchased them.

The Bill's Bimbos trained and bonded with their new companions for the remainder of the journey south: no animals were lost

9th of Houden, morning: Bill's Bimbos, Tori, Bill Brouwen, and the creatures arrived at the north gate of Sedesend, observed a dozen Mazraean farmers conversing with 6 Goldguard.

• Tensions rose between the farmers, the guards, and the Bill's Bimbos. The Goldguard summoned Captain Tibón.
• Captain Tibón heard the party's warnings of Mother beneath Mazraea and permitted the group entry to the city
• Stinky left to deliver a letter to approaching Mazraean refugees, warning them to abandon their pilgrimage to Sedesend
  

Upon entering the city, the party took in the sights: the Cobble Ward ahead and around base of the mountain, the RIdge Ward shops and homes up the slopes on the mountain, and the Summit Ward, housing the Citadel and Astralreach Academy, located furthest up the mountain Solithar's Spire.

Calliope quickly spied a young boy spreading posters and shouting the news: Battle of the Bards happening in Sedesend soon, with competition featuring graduates of the College of the Swan (Finnean Silverwish, Roran Strums, Elara Truesong, Fictus Aborenzo) and a special star performance of the one and only Shell Silverstein
