House Kushoros of Knightstone is an ancient and proud Med'ny noble house located in the Ba'hram Desert. House Kushoros has governed the town of Knightstone since it was founded, and they have a reputation for just governance and wisdom. Members have often also been masters of the Death Dance.
Though its house words are “With Mount and Blade,” another more common saying is “No True Sovereign But Justice.”
House Kushoros was founded by Callyn Kushoros, an ancient Med'ny adventurer who carved out a castle into a cliffside in the Ba'hram Desert. Over time, a town grew around the castle, which became a noted trading post and waystation before merchants braved the harsh Dune Sea.
Prince Lynnaya Kushoros and the forces of Knightstone were among the Med'ny and Badawi host which defeated the army of Pelegon VI at the Battle of Red Sands.
Through diplomacy and conquest, House Kushoros extended its lordship over the lands of the Med'ny in the centuries preceding its annexation, taking the title High Prince of the Med'ny and High Prince of the Ba'hram, though it relinquished both titles upon its incorporation into Pelegon.
Unable to be conquered, House Kushoros and its vassal lands were incorporated into Pelegon through diplomacy during the reign of Adrastus II by means of a marriage pact sealed between Prince Qoren Kushoros and Princess Elissa Goodfellow. House Kushoros is the high lord of the Empire's territories in the Ba'hram Desert. Though they are not technically a house major, as the Empire's Ba'hramic territories are part of the Imperial Domain, the Kushorosi are among the most powerful houses in the realm, able to call the strength of the desert lords to their side.
Members of House Kushoros tend to have blue or Purple Eyes and light blond hair.
