The Old Kingly Houses is a term used to refer to the Noble Houses of Pelegon or noble houses in the lands which are now under the jurisdiction of the Shahanshah which at one point or another held sovereign titles, usually (but not always) that of "King," before conquest by Pelegon. This refers to both the houses who reigned as sovereign monarchs when they were incorporated into the empire, such as House Mannos, and houses which once reigned as sovereign monarchs but had been vassalized by other houses prior to conquest, such as House Keen.
