Lau Yanmei

Description

Twin sister of Lau Meilin.

Yanmei found herself second in most things: the second-born twin, second fiddle to Meilin's business dealings, and a secondary caretaker to the Laus' revolving door of nannies and tutors. Though her patience was considerable, she was under the constant stress of seeing to her little sisters, and rarely snared any time for herself.

She was one of the family's true devouts, and enjoyed passing on the rituals and foundations of Serien worship. It also fell to Yanmei to instruct her sisters in the Laus' experimental illusions, though Ruolan and Hao-yu more directly oversaw their education.

Within the Campaign

Meilin, like the rest of her family, was taken by demonic influence and cast into black pumice stone. Since then, a demon has been formed in her image: one of two twins, supporting her mirror from a distance. She wields ranged attacks and magic both, displaying a loyalty to her twin that extends beyond mortal life.
