Lau Peizhi
Description
The fourth daughter of the Lau family. As a young woman, Peizhi strong-armed her way into Lau Studios' public relations representative, a position she all but pulled from the ether. She worked doggedly to endear their enterprise to the public and prove herself to her parents, Lau Ruolan and Lau Hao-yu.
She was seen accompanying Lau Zhilan in the city, an appearance now considered confounding in restrospect. She has a stern and dour countenance, appearing to be the kind of person who takes fault with most things in life.Within the Campaign
Peizhi, like the rest of her family, was taken by demonic influence and cast into black pumice stone. Since then, a demon has been formed in her image. Unlike the rest of her family, however, Peizhi has no humanoid form.
She is the most visibly monstrous of the Lau demons, taking on a salamander-esque appearance. She attacks with teeth and claws and bears a shout that can deafen. This demon displays a severe dislike for noise, demanding silence and growing aggressive when denied. When first seen by Liutubang, they only recognized her as a demon with unknown motivations. She ambushed them while they tried to rescue Vic'tel Vianrodeth (Chim) after Okita Takao abducted him. Her abyssal speech towards Loveless went untranslated.
Peizhi was not seen again until the Ringmaster's Circus. Earlier in the day, she intervened on Yu Atsushi's attempt on Loveless' life. She attacked them, savaging their leg and seemingly defending Loveless, though she was willing to attack others when provoked. Later, she was seen specifically pursuing and attacking Zhilan with seemingly lethal intent. Upon the party's arrival, she fled.
She was last seen with the other Lau demons beneath the estate.
