Shikara

Description

The head of the Rose Coalition, Shouwèi Zian was elected to replace the former Shikara after the War of Five Planes.The position has initially been intended for his elder brother, Shouwèi Yingjie, before his death.

Shouwei Zian wields a sterling reputation. He earned a name for himself as an honorable and powerful fighter, and was declared only more worthy of praise during the war. He was ever-present on the front lines as one of the first defenses against the elemental invasion.

Zian is married to Shouwèi Jin. He is father to a single daughter, Shouwèi Song, but is the adoptive guardian of his nephew, Shouwei Jin-li.

Within the Campaign

Liutubang witnessed the Shikara in passing during a visit to Límíng City. This was later understood to be him investigating a sighting of his missing nephew.

Shouwei Zian returned to the city to help Yu Ào-mei and Yu Bingwen fend off The Ringmaster.

History

Shouwei Zian was raised in the once-humble Shouwei Clan, the second son of the inherited legacy of Bladesinging. His education was in supporting his elder brother, Yingjie, and as an asset to his Clan. He was arranged to marry Yao Jin, now Shouwei Jin.

During the war, Shouwei Zian was a front-line fighter. His protective magic successfully protected himself and those around him, though he was unable to save his elder brother or sister-in-law. Following their deaths, he took on guardianship of their son, Shun. He raised his nephew fearfully. Shun was kept away from danger and well-sheltered, denied the ability to practice shikar with the Clan in his youth.

Since taking the throne, Zian has been a popular leader. He publicly opposed the invasion of Hanae, and is on good terms with the Yu Clan. He is known for ushering in an era of relative peace in Quyan.
