Brufomura Brassbreaker

High Queen

Originally given the clan name "Blondebeard", Brufomura quickly grew to be far bigger and faster Dwarf than her Barbarian peers. Her ferocity in battle led to rumors that she had the blood of Giants in her; though obviously not truly Giantborn to any who met her, Brufomura's peerless strength and fiery temperament continually stoked these rumors. At only 30 years of age, a child in the eyes of her kin, she became chief of her nomadic tribal clan in the northern Snoutridge Mountains, and led her people to many great battles against orc and ogre bandit raiders.

Brufomura spent decades unifying disparate barbarian dwarf tribes across the Snoutridge. A string of successes secured her political power amongst those living on the outskirts of the hills, and under the name Blondebeard, the coalition proved to be a legitimate challenger to the Kingdom of the Twelve MountainsLike other dwarves in the region, Brufomura was extremely dissatisfied with the impunity with which Brazenthrone soldiers acted throughout the mountains. After many appeals were ignored, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

She lead a small band of her strongest barbarians to confront the High King, expecting battle, but found it in disarray. The new chieftain saw further political opportunity within the capital, and swayed the High Clan leaders to allow her to challenge Thimdorlum Brasshand for the throne. This resulted in the Bending Of Brazenthrone, and she slew her king, ending the Brasshand lineage. From this event, she adopted a new clan name, "Brassbreaker", and was coronated as the new High Queen.

Brufomura became known to outsiders as the "Barbarian Queen", but despite being an usurper, her rule was still respected by members of the Kingdom of the Twelve Mountains.
