Ukaad-Ogu Kessarum

Torchbearer

Ukaad-Ogu Kessarum was a Crossborn who grew up in Khazalet, the son of half-Orc, half-Human nomads that settled in the city before his birth. From a young age, he was charismatic in a way few other orcborn his age were; his strength and courage never overshadowed his restraint, and he was known for keeping his anger measured rather than indulged. A fierce and physical Warrior, Ukaad-Ogu joined the Riders of Khazalet when he came of age, where his talents in leadership and diplomacy were noted.

Rather than promote as a soldier, Second Rider Ostrog Tuskbreaker endorsed him to become Khazalet’s envoy to Emblem. The nomination was approved by the people, and Ukaad-Ogu traveled south to take a position as Khazalet's Torchbearer of the Council of CommonlightAs a Torchbearer, Ukaad-Ogu acted as Khazalet’s advocate in the Court of the Torch, and though he was initially young for the position, he grew into his role well. His years in the Court turned to decades, he became a known and steady hand in the highly tumultuous Council.

First Rider Rhoya Quickfeather consulted him often where matters of Khazalet were concerned, as she kept him briefed on the ever-changing goings-on of the nomadic city. When she had to return to Khazalet, Ukaad-Ogu held a quiet and stoic space within the Court. He rarely engaged with debates or policy unless he believed they posed a threat to his home; his role in the Court was rooted in that loyalty rather than ambition or national politics.
