Tulvrak Meatcleaver was an Orc born in the Wealdshield to a raiding tribe. From a young age, he disliked violence but loved serving his tribe, earning the name "Meatcleaver" as a reward for his cooking prowess. As a teenager, much of his clan was wiped out by an unruly Treant, and he fled to Ashenport as a refugee, where he was reluctantly taken in. Although Tulvrak faced discrimination from the local Human population, he adopted their customs and sought a way to serve the his new "tribe", the Common League.
He wished to assist in the defense of Commona but chose not to take up arms as a traditional warrior. This desire led him to join the military as a cook, where he provided meals for the soldiers. The guards and soldiers he fed gave him the ironic nickname "Tiny Tulvrak" due to his massive physical stature. Eventually, a restructuring in Common forces led to Tulvrak being transferred away from the Ashen Ring to Aone Island. While other cooks cycled through the remote post at Bleak End, the orc remained at his station for years. He eventually became the head chef, simply because he outlasted every other cook assigned to the island.
Tiny Tulvrak managed the daily rations for both the large garrison and the nameless inmates from the kitchen, reporting directly to warden Ramos Stormforged. He was known for his joviality and jokes, leading to frequent clashes with the stern guard captain Placidia Liepina. Always cheerful, he made a conscious effort to reject the stereotypes of violence often associated with his orc heritage.
Despite his peaceful intentions, however, Tiny Tulvrak's great size and natural strength sometimes encouraged others to challenge him; when pressed, these encounters did not end well.
