Long, long ago, there was a great elven king, known by his people as Fahnri the Fair. His rule was marked by prosperity and harmony, and he made decisions guided by compassion and his concern for the well-being of his people. The wise words of his chief advisor, Malachi, strengthened the king's resolve to do good for his people. But Malachi had dark intentions hidden beneath a charming façade, and had wormed his way into the king's inner circle to do mischief. Under the guise of loyalty and wisdom, Malachi slowly manipulated king Fahnri. He convinced the king that the people did not understand what they truly wanted. He offered ideas that seemed beneficial in the short term, but they ultimately brought the kingdom to ruin. With each passing decree stained by Malachi's words, corruption, division, and oppression spread across the kingdom. As the kingdom teetered on the brink of collapse, the true nature of Malachi's intentions was revealed, leaving King Fahnri to face the devastating consequences of his misguided trust. The fable of King Fahnri serves as a cautionary tale, warning of the dangers of succumbing to the manipulations of those with ulterior motives, even when they present themselves as well-intentioned advisors.
King Fahnri the Fair was an elven king from around the time of Aleorinia. He was the last king before the End of the Age of Elves. It is uncertain if he was an historical figure or a mythological one, or something in between.
