The world's history, according to Conarist Scholars

The "modern" (positive year number) eras below are named for the Conarite Prophet that came right before them.  For example, the first Prophet was burnt in year 0, so the years 1-73 are his ashes.  The second Prophet was burnt in the year 73, so the 73 years after that are his ashes, and so on.

Age of Creation < 0

Summary: the universe happened to come into existence out of an infinite sea of chaos.  Snips of chaos that happened to take a breath of life were called the Children of Chaos.  A thing called Nature also came into existence.  Eventually, life on a little planet began to take form, and the Children of Chaos simply watched it develop and evolve.  The Children of Chaos created several of the world's races, except for humans and most bantams, which came about naturally through evolution.

Lost Days < 0

Summary: The Children of Chaos find mortal souls to be sacred, and send them through cycles of reincarnation.  Good and Evil drip from them and coagulate into beings called Synigora and Katergis, who exist outside of the mortal realm. A conflict occurs between two groups within the Children of Chaos, resulting in mortals getting access to Ethereum magic.

Ascelic Era -2,416 — -100

Summary: The Ascelic Empire rises to power and then crashes and burns.  The Children of Chaos fracture the world as a result.

The Beginning of Conarism -100 — 0

Summary: In order to give a final resting place to souls who had accomplished everything they could in this world, Katergis and Synigora created Heaven and Hell, and defined what it takes to get there.

Ashes of Gabriel 0 — 73

Katergis and Synigora have a messy breakup.

Ashes of [Prophet #2] 74 — 146

Ashes of [Prophet #3] 147 — 219

Ashes of [Prophet #4] 220 — 292

Ashes of [Prophet #5] 293 — 365

Ashes of [Prophet #6] 366 — 438

Ashes of Seno (A7) 439 — 511

Ashes of [Prophet #8] 512 — 584

Ashes of Aenetros (A9) 585 — 657

Note: Lysonists do not believe that Aenetros was the ninth prophet as the Aenetrists do; they believed Lysonis instead, leading to a major schism in the church. Both of these potential prophets were burned on the day of the comet.  See Conarism to see how they differ.

Ashes of Gregory (A10) 658 — 730

Gregory, the tenth prophet, was known for his reverence for the arts and his teachings on how it can be used for the betterment of society, through hope and joy for all.

Ashes of [Prophet #11] 731 — 802

Ashes of Samuel (A12) 803 — 875

The Children of Ivo do not agree that Samuel was the twelfth Prophet, they call this era "Ashes of Ivo" instead. See Conarism to see how they differ.

The current year is somewhere in here.
