An extremely celebrated adventurer in his youth, Tybus was famous throughout Commona as a legendary Adventurer, Fighter, and man-at-arms. Known for his gruff chivalry, he was never a figure of empathy, but was trusted by all of his contractors to do the noble thing in moments of crisis. After a lifetime of storied adventures and great deeds, he settled down in his hometown of Khazalet, where he opened up the Roc's Nest, the premier guildhall for adventurers in the Isilet Ranges.
Once retired, Tybus rarely left the city, but also was not often seen in public. Stoic and blunt, he generally remained inside his tavern, where he could be found talking to old patrons and sorting out his quest board. His presence alone tended to demand respect, resulting in few altercations occurring in the establishment, despite it generally being populated with rough-and-tumble mercenaries. During this period, he developed a relationship with the Riders of Khazalet, after his former party member Rhoya Quickfeather was anointed as First Ranger, and trained the upcoming Third Rider Yannick Azizi.
Over the course of years as a questmaster, Tybus began seeing patterns forming on a lot of more difficult quests. Many seemed to include scant information on an ancient organization called the Azure Paragon. Once he surmised that they were responsible for creating the Epochal Artifacts, Tybus became obsessed with the organization, and the Roc's Nest secretly became a hub to gain information on the wizard order.
