Start: 9th of Flosculus, afternoon, after a short rest in the Dead Tribunal chamber of the Folding Halls with Mortain Donnaden.
Mortain Donnaden continued to answer the party's questions, and was open to their assistance in his pursuit of lichdom. He also told them the Cedahlia Ozmil had tried to make a bet with him that Bill's Bimbos would seek her out. He refused and did not care, but he informed them of that prediction. He informed them that her tower, the Evolarium, was located in the Chimerazon, around the Court of Oresco (leaning to Court of Palavia as well).
The party then used the Cubic Gate to Plane Shift back to Castle Darkstone. Aoife Sweeney attempted a Sending to Falun Terani, and it failed. This indicated to her that the Sphinx was dead or otherwise unable to receive the Sending (one possible conclusion was that, paired with its rehearsed behavior earlier, it could be an inactive Construct). She also made a Dream conference call with Killian Sweeney and Ormund Vanstein. They talked about the progress of the Titan Apparatus, which seemed to have stalled: they have the designs and some scale prototypes of legs and arms, but the main issues were power and size. The Primordial Shards which Ormund Vanstein retrieved and the team were using were not enough on their own. Aoife Sweeney offered the Codas as an option, and the incredible divine aura from each of these artifacts dwarfed the power of the individual Primordial Shards and would absolutely operate as a power source for the titan-sized version of the apparatus. Now, they had to source the materials and workforce to build the Titan Apparatus within the next 2 months (Mother arrival to Sedesend is estimated to be 15th of Airtifae). They said Leminy Gilcog and them would start on the preparations within their garage, O'Fisher and Sons. Ormund Vanstein, being knowledgeable about Codas in their historical significance, warned the group that they may even present an uncontrollable surplus of power, which changes the priority for creating this invention. The Dream ended, and the party slept.
On the 10th of Flosculus, the party used a few artificing items from Arwa Hathspelt teleported to the outskirts of Resonaegis. On the road into the city, Nesdin narrowly avoided a long, thin artificer vehicle which had a ton of mirrors on the front and a spring-pad in the bottom of the rear.Calliope, enraged by the audacity, followed this old gnomish driver. Unable to hear him communicating to her, she gave some positive hand signs and continued to drive into Resonaegis. He followed her, and she drove into the garage, Bassett and Hound Artificing Co.. He then returned to the party.
Entering Resonaegis, the party made their way to O'Fisher and Sons. Killian Sweeney excitedly caught up with Aoife Sweeney while Arwa Hathspelt and Leminy Gilcog had a nice reunion. They spoke further about the Titan Apparatus and with the smaller arm prototype the gang made, Aoife Sweeney put the Blood of the Martyr into it's slot, and the arm transformed - it turned onyx-black with a greenish-brown aura, and spikes erupted all along the arm and on the knuckles.
The group decided to try to find leads on the Awe Inspirer as well, which Leminy Gilcog seemed ecstatic to hear about and learn more. They gave Dohwar to Arwa Hathspelt and they pointed towards Leminy Gilcog. When she touched Dohwar too, they pointed to Ormund Vanstein. When all 3 connected with Dohwar, they did not point in any particular direction. They wandered around Resonaegis, and Dohwar pointed to Bassett and Hound Artificing Co..
Inside, the gang met Picot Bassett and her werewolf partner Heinrich, who seemed to be also drawing the attention of Dohwar's dowsing. They talked and invited her to be a part of the crew to build the Titan Apparatus. For 3rd billing and a total of about 500 gold, she agreed to have her team work for them. for 2 months. Given that there were over 100 workshops in Resonaegis, it would take 30-50,000 gold to hire the minimum required workforce.
