    • Kel polished her teeth
  • The members of the group are haunted by various dreams

      • Kanvrak thanked Ilryn for the opportunity, and asked to confer with him if the group wished for help with the Thin Man
      • Avra additionally tasked Ilryn with collecting mirrors
    • Lambchop dreamed of an old memory from his friends back in Adalhast at the Silver Shepherd
      • The innkeepers, Nathaniel and Jora, fed him a weird powdery cake and instructed him to take a shit in the next town over
      • He did so and witnessed some man rooting around in his feces and retrieving a package before running away
    • Caedali dreamed of the symbol of the Thousand King, blotting out her other dreams
      • She awoke in a sweat, scratching the symbol upon the way, much to Connor's horror
    • Kel dreamed of the Cave of Eternity, face to face with the Chrysalis of Patalir
      • Unlike usual, Kel felt that gaze of the goddess upon her, and she spoke
      • Patalir asked Kel to pursue the bag of teeth she had been after

Nokelume 28th - Gostragine 5th 989 IaC

  • The party spent some days at the guild, relaxing from their recent hijinks and handling separate matters
  • Kel was approached by Rulan Vinesweep about her bird Patty, which exhibited strange space-warping properties
    • Thinking back, Kel thought about the relationship between the bird, Caedali's box, and Ilryn's rapier Liar
  • Ilryn got a letter from Ohrakk Cinderhand, stating that he had found steady work down south in Meldas
    • She then go to work collecting mirrors from around the guild

    • He was promised a reward by the two if he retrieved a book on kings from the secret third floor library
  • Late in the night on the 1st of Gostragine, the party was awoken by a loud sound, finding Eliza Millheart searching around the guild entrance
    • While the group attempted to sneak and follow her to the first floor, Lambchop gave them away by directly addressing her
    • Eliza gave some excuses and bid the group a good night, moving away quickly, limping up the stairs
  • The next morning, Adamine Longshallow told the party about the various contracts currently up for grabs
    • She spoke a bit about the guild member Venfa being held in the town of Unknown by a well off noble

  • The group headed out in the morning of the 5th, deciding to down south down the offroad past Rostern instead of the well-traveled path past Yattersby, despite Connor's objections
  • The group dropped by the guild store for some rations and potions before heading out

Gostragine 5th - Gostragine 10th 989 IaC

  • The party traveled past Beckley and Rostern, eventually entering the Ruins of Eberid
  • Wary of the still and silent air, the group went back-to-back as they traveled through the ruined stone buildings
    • Kel felt a presence watching them, only spotting a tree with an eye in it after the group left the area
  • The group came to the gates of Unknown, where they were met by the absolutely insane Agnar Shagswell
    • Despite Agnar's inability to parse any sort of logic, he managed to trick himself into believing the party was a band of merchants and allowed them entry to the fort
    • The soldiers of the fort had been starving due to their supply that ordinarily ran through the mountains being cut off, a result of the artifact in the temple
    • Lambchop cooked the fort some corn soup using Soup's powder, filling them up and earning their gratitude
    • Agnar offered the group lodging for the night, and Kel attempted to relieve his burden, only managing to scrape off a bit of his insanity

Gostragine 11th, 989 IaC

  • The group awoke early in the morning to screams from Agnar to get out of his fort
  • The party ventured into the mountains, navigating the elevated, rocky terrain as they made their way around the perilous pass
    • Kel felt a watching presence, realizing a large eagle was tracking the party
    • Lambchop conducted his ritual to speak with animals, calling to the bird
    • The bird answered back and flew down, addressing the party in Common
    • It revealed little to the group, stating that it'd just be watching them, and eventually it flew away
  • The group moved forward, hearing a mysterious, beckoning song ringing through the cliffs
    • Lambchop recalled a story he heard regarding harpies, and warned the party
    • The group trepidatiously moved forward into the pass, coming to a thin cliff path with sheer drops on either side
    • The luring song became ever louder, and pulled Connor into its thrall as the group spotted a flock of starved harpies eager for their next meal
  • Rushing to Connor's aid, the group met the harpies in combat
    • As the group attempted to prevent Connor from running off the cliff to his doom, they tried to fight off the influence of the luring songs
    • The harpies slowly approached as Ilryn fired blasts at them and Caedali remembered she had a bow
    • Kel gave Connor one of her platinum rings and protected him with her Warding Bond
    • Lambchop cheered the blasters on
    • The harpies swooped in to attack Connor as he was lured off the cliff down into a bed of spikes
    • Ilryn began flying to rush to his aid and Lambchop and Caedali jumped to attack the flying harpies
    • Kel attacked with Whirl but kept her distance, raining down Guiding Bolts choosing not to dive down near the stinking chasm of darkness and death
    • Lambchop nearly fell into the darkness, barely grabbing the ledge as Caedali pulled a harpy out of the air
    • Some of the harpies retreated, though one managed to grab Connor after he fell unconscious trying to help Lambchop up
    • Caedali and Lambchop smashed some birds
    • Ilryn was forced to rush to Connor's rescue as he regained consciousness in the talons of a fleeing harpy
    • Connor flailed out of the harpy's clutches, falling into the darkness but was swooped up by Ilryn
    • The harpies began to fall back as Kel, Caedali and Lambchop sliced up the remaining monstrosities
    • Connor was safely brought to the cliff edge as the group finished up
  • As the harpies ran, Kel sensed a presence running up behind her, dodging out of the way as Erigor went flying off the cliff
    • Erigor landed on top of Lambchop, cursing him briefly with cannibalistic urges before his concentration was broken by Ilryn's attack
    • The party descended upon Erigor, ripping him up and cutting him into pieces
    • Erigor managed to reform himself somehow after being torn apart by Caedli's cleaving strike, but was soon put out of commission by a powerful strike from Lambchop
  • The group moved on, navigating the perilous cliffs
    • Connor nearly fell off as some rock crumbled beneath him, but was saved by Caedali
  • The group decided to take a short rest, and were soon visited by the eagle
    • The eagle spoke to them about his "big smart bruddy" friend, asking them to help him
    • The eagle said his friend was in the "big cave"
    • The group convinced the eagle to check in with his buddy, and he returned in a few hours
    • The eagle told the group that his "big bruddy" had one eye, and told the party that he "knew everything"
    • The eagle said he would show the group the way to his friend, but the group should be on their best behavior, and bring good food
    • It also warned the party that there were dangers on the path, as they couldn't fly
    • Caedali convinced the eagle to carry Connor
  • The party followed the eagle on foot, making their way through the pass until the group made it to a chasm with many skeletons littered about
    • Kel noticed a tree on top of a cliff with an eye watching out of it
    • She also noticed multiple skeletons lying in piles of moss
    • Ilryn took the initiative to fly forward and attack the tree with an Eldritch Blast
    • A mysterious cloaked figure stepped out from the tree, knocking the blast aside
  • The group engaged the Green Hand in combat as the skeletons on the battlefield were animated with twisting vines
    • Ilryn attacked the Green Hand but was soon overwhelmed as the Green Hand filled her full of necromantic magic, knocking her unconscious.
    • Kel rushed across the battlefield to resuscitate Ilryn, jumping the chasm and placing herself in peril by the skeletons
    • As Caedali and Lambchop approached, knocking skeletons aside, Ilryn managed to fight off the skeletons around her, though Kel was knocked out by a volley of arrows
    • Noticing Kel unconscious, a skeleton swept her up and the Green Hand approached her, his glowing hand outstretched
    • The party rushed to her aid, smashing skeletons and keeping each other up with potions and healing spells, pushed to their limits against the powerful magic of the Green Hand
    • The eagle swooped in and disposed of a skeleton as the group managed to get back on their feet, turning the tables on the Green Hand as his forces were depleted
    • The Green Hand turned to run, taking heavy damage as he was followed by Ilryn and Lambchop
    • Ilryn's whip cracked and created a surge of purple fire, and as the Green Hand ran, she managed to bring him down as his defenses were lowered
    • Kel witnessed a soul-like figure exit and reenter the body, animating it once more
    • Lambchop and Ilryn attacked the Green Hand as it ran, bringing it down multiple times, but luck favored the dark mage as he continued to escape
    • When the Green Hand was struck, he dropped his strange staff of eyeballs
    • One of Caedali's arrows struck true and using Un's Knowledge she extracted from the Green Hand the name Anathen Millheart and discovered that there were two consciousnesses buried within the body, though the buried one was obscured from the goddess' sight
    • As the Green Hand escaped into the tree, Caedali heard a low, feminine voice ring through her head

Inspiration awarded for nearly defeating the Green Hand.
