In Curse Of Strahd, The Pack visited the Vistani camp, intent on giving a gift to Arabelle purchased from Blinsky Toys at Arrigal's request. While there, they found that Arabelle had gone missing while under the "protection" of Alexei, who was teaching her to fish at Lake Zarovich. Alexei passed out from drinking, and Arabelle was kidnapped. In response, Luvash beat the man relentlessly with a whip until Ghalwin Forrester intervened.

Though initially incensed at the outsider's intervention, Luvash eventually calmed down, and promised the Pack any riches they wanted in exchange for finding Arabelle. His daughter was eventually returned safely to the camp's relief, and he rewarded The Pack with treasure from their wagon.

Ghalwin eventually returned after losing his party at Berez, and had been blinded during the experience. Feeling pity for the man, Luvash allowed him to stay in the elven hovels with Kasimir, but had him stay out of sight; after the Riots Of The Blazing Sun, Vallaki had been opened to the Vistani, and the townspeople were on the hunt for adventurers. When his ancestor Zandros mysteriously returned, however, re-establishing Strahd's dominance over the camp, Luvash found himself in a power struggle. He eventually acquiesced to the frightening vampire, and was demoted below Arrigal, who was extremely loyal to Zandros.

The camp was later attacked by Heralds of Dawn, as they were visited by Anastrasya Karelova and Ludmilla Villisevic. During the assault, Tobias Villie Broadnose Cogsmith and Ajuni Elajoral drove Zandros out, alongside Arrigal and Floriana. Though Luvash was grateful, he forbade the adventurers from staying, as they were now in a precarious position in the eyes of Strahd. He took over as Captain, and tried to govern as quietly as possible until the Slaying Of Strahd.
