Olkorinik 8th, 951

  • The Peas sped away from the raging, unstable ley energy in the cage of bone manifested by the Tearful
    • As the cage caught up to the quickly disappearing shadow bridge, the party witnessed many corpses falling into the ocean, which greedily sucked them up
    • Continuing onwards, the cage was shaken by the Immortal Ogre, as it attempted to attack the corpse of the Nightseeker
    • As the ogre tore out the bottom of the fleshy bone cage, Seamus used Veravine to tether a corpse floating in the ocean, heaving it up to be stabbed by Wander
    • With his target switched, the ogre jumped into the ocean to follow the new corpse, with Leadbelly catching the Nightseeker's body with the hook of his axe, and Tyerjon pulling it up with wispy snakes manifested by Frosthold
    • Phaelnah used her healing magic to reform some of the flash of the cage, giving the party a small lip to stand on for the rest of their uncomfortable journey across the sea
  • As the day passed, the party noticed a number of corpses, swaddled in water, flying from the ocean in the direction of their travel
    • The party was eventually addressed by a manifestation of the demigod Shalde, who apologized for his tardiness, informing the party that they needn't worry any longer
    • Shalde sped the party's travel by pushing the cage with his water, and the party managed to make it to Slaghead Island in the late night.
    • Shalde's efforts had managed to rescue the bodies of the people that had been killed in the battle from Jylurm's influence, though he could do little to bring them back
      • Additionally, an army of Vesikev protected the shore of the island, preventing further casualties
    • Exhausted, the party accepted a few congratulations before getting a much deserved rest

  • Waking late in the morning, the Peas were taken to a meeting in the Temple of the Earth
  • The party argued for a time with the various leaders of the battle regarding what to do with the body of the Nightseeker
    • Halarain Ovastios heavily advocated for its destruction, while Rilbekk Tudefrodgaline wished to bring it before the Ereidin High Council to prevent the results of the ritual from being used in fear campaigns and political motivations
    • The demigod Shalde reappeared, offering to dispose of the body, though he was met with distrust
    • After the leaders voted on what to do, Shalde simply attempted to take the body himself
    • Facing resistance from the group, Shalde finally simply stared at the corpse, and it disappeared
      • The party attempted to divine if Shalde was using an illusion, but he seemed to be earnest
    • Shalde took his leave, imparting that his presence used to inspire more trust and thanks
  • The Peas surveyed the death caused by the Battle for the Sun, learning a number of their comrades had fallen, including:
  • Using their last diamond, Phaelnah chose to resurrect Valx
    • Karcius approached, unsure of what Phaelnah was doing to his brother, and Journey held him back
    • After briefly relaying the trauma he experienced after death in the ocean, Valx was relieved to have been brought back to life
    • Karcius later nearly apologized to Journey for how he treated her, but not quite
  • Passing the day restfully, the party decided to make their way back to Madrioc through the Roomy Chest
    • The group elected to leave the chest on the island to keep anyone from being stranded out in the Isles of Wrath
    • After the party made it into Razodon's manor, Journey teleported in with the group's bags of holding
    • After conferring with Razodon, and with so many important people in town, the party elected to hold their celebration and housewarming party in Dragon's End
