Overview
The crew bids farewell to Donny in Highwater, then resupplies and consults Maeglim Zindlewick at the Tumbled Orrery to update Serelion Thalen’s star charts. An Awakened ambush is beaten back, and the Starlight departs for Myrren. In Wildspace, a dark-running ship (likely the Brinkhowl) answers their ziklight, confirming they are being shadowed as the path to the Dreamer’s Vault comes into focus.

“Just so you all know—I’m leaving the Starlight.Been with this ship a long time. Only one here who remembers those first runs is Finn. Rest of you, you made it feel like family anyway.
Losing the captain… that changed things. And after stopping at Virella’s Song, meeting Fenna and the druids—well, I guess the wilds started calling me back for real this time.
I know the timing’s not great, with all this Dreamer business and everything else swirling around. But you’ll manage, probably better without a big firbolg tripping over your plans.
Finn, you still owe me for that pickle sandwich mess. You get one more try, next time you visit.
And for the rest of you—thank you. Didn’t expect to find a home, but you gave me one.

- Housekeeping
- The crew places the plant gifted by Fenna Mossweave of the Verdant Sky in the ship's galley. Once watered, roots immediately latch onto the hull. Fenna advises the plant allows occasional communication between the ship and Virella's Song.
- In Highwater, the crew avoids the main port due to the quarantine notice on the Starlight, anchoring offshore and rowing to a secluded cove. They obtain supplies, including a Poisoner’s Kit for Tsuki and an antique Mandate holy symbol (with the full Celestial Choir) for Rynerm.
- Prim transcribes an ancient spell from the scroll recovered from Lyren in Caramendra: Thalen’s Subtle Reversal.
- The Tumbled Orrery
- The crew enlists Maeglim Zindlewick of the Tumbled Orrery to update Serelion Thalen's ancient star charts, hopefully pinpointing the Dreamer'sVault on Myrren. Maeglim is happy to help, especially given the quantity of ginger tea the crew provided.
- Maeglim also speaks with Finn about a mark on his chassis: the Seal of Emergent Concordance. He describes the lost art of creating sentient autognomes as imperfect. Some created minds were safe and earned the Seal; others were not. For more on those processes, he suggests visiting Kharos, or whatever on Myrren seems to be dreaming about the same marks.
- Awakened Ambush (Again!)
- As the party exits the Tumbled Orrery with Maeglim, a large group of Awakened cultists confronts them, again targeting Rynerm. A well‑placed Fireball from Prim thins their ranks, and the crew dispatches most of the rest. A few escape.
- Off to Myrren, but not Alone
- After returning to the ship and wishing Donny well, the crew sets course for Myrren. After breaking Talereth's orbit, they are discussing next moves when Prim sees a single star vanish briefly, then reappear. Rynerm suspects another vessel is running dark. The crew flashes a ziklight signal toward the anomaly.
- A sequence of flashes answers. The other ship refuses to identify itself, but the crew suspects it is the Brinkhowl, the same ship from S00 - Awakenings. The rival crew claims they are “just observing,” and that the Starlight seems “very popular these days.”
- Suspecting a tracker aboard, the crew searches with Locate Object and finds a passive tracking stone beneath the lower crew deck. Finn makes a duplicate, then they feint toward Bral before launching the two stones in opposite directions and circling back.
- The ruse only partly works. Prim receives a Sending from
Captain Veyna Dask:
“Tricky, tricky, Starlight... Perhaps we'll see you around Myrren. I hear it's quite bright these days. Some might say... Radiant.”
