In the Murkmire Malevolence, Greta was contacted by the Golden Vault handler Meera Raheer for a mission that was ultimately called off. The bard joined alongside Matthew the Ascended, Rasmus O'Dranith, Leila Vencaryn, and Dee, growing quite close with the team.

After spending a few weeks killing time by busking and thieving, the group was called to action. They were tasked with returning the Murkmire Stone, secretly an egg containing a vicious creature, to Doctor Cassee Dannel. During a gala at the Cliffsunder Museum of Natural History, they planned to steal the stone by cart, using a Draft Horse named Marx to carry it across town under the guise of "Cliffsunder Party Supplies." 

The heist did not go smoothly; while scouting the museum alone, Greta was nearly eaten by a hiding Mimic, and had to hide below Dee's ostentatious dress during the gala. After a bust-up between Matthew and Caelas Helefir, the party split, and everything devolved into chaos. During this confusion, the group successfully managed to steal the Stone, but as the Abberation inside grew close to hatching, it pulsed with energy. Next to the stone, Greta was hit by its Curse, and her bones grew significantly heavier, slowing her reaction time.

The mission was successful, as Doctor Dannel captured it in crystal before it hatched, but Margaret was left searching for a way to remove her curse. After receiving a set of studded leather Enhanced Armor, Leila took her into the Murkmire Marshlands to have her affliction looked at by her Druid associates.
