----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally a small mountain vale called the Zarovich Valley, the full territory of the Barovian demiplane could not be properly charted after it was lifted from the Material Realm, as the size of its lands distorted depending on the whim of its dark ruler. Using the power of the Ladies Three, Count Strahd von Zarovich could manipulate the land at will. He could quadruple it in size to roughly 300 miles by 180 miles, creating repetitive earth and wildlife that furthered the reach of his realm. These expansions and contractions caused earthquakes, and often came with impenetrable mists that that pushed in and out of the valley.

These changes to the geography disappeared on the day of the Slaying Of Strahd; however, mists still surrounded the demiplane, as it was lost to the Deepmists.
