Kiril Stoyanovich

In Curse Of Strahd, Kiril chased down the monster slayer Rudolph van Richten after killing his horse Drusilla. He and his group followed the trail of blood to Khazan's Tower, where they engaged in a melee with Pack. Despite their overwhelming numbers, they were quickly routed, and Kiril was captured and tortured with silver weapons by Ghalwin Forrester. Though this made him extremely hostile to the group, he was calmed by Shakti of the Wildhunt, who revealed herself to be Jaghr's direct daughter and the carrier of Kavan's Blood Spear.

He eventually believed the shifter's story, and offered to take Shakti to the Den. However, he refused to take her allies to ancestral home, and could not even guarantee her safety on the journey. Though she declined his offer due to the danger it provided, The Pack let him go, and he swam across Lake Baratok back to his pack.

Kiril regrouped with at the den, and quickly re-established his hunting grounds. He chose to hunt in smaller packs, in case they would be attacked again by powerful adventurers again; sure enough, he eventually came across Tobias Villie Broadnose Cogsmith, Geronimo, Ajuni Elajoral, and Mormeros Fayan at the Raven River Crossroads. He had no way of knowing the strength of his foes, however, and needed prey to bring back to the den.

His wolves ambushed the adventurers but found their foes were a strong match; as they attacked, Ghalwin came riding at them from the mist, commanding them to stop. Kiril involuntarily soiled himself and fled, but managed to lose none of his werewolf kin during this second failed attack. Kiril remained in hiding, mostly convincing his kin to avoid attacking Barovians, but would eventually gain a spark of hope after the Lighting Of The Silver Beacon.

Seeing change for the first time in his life, he left the Den to Castle Ravenloft, where he moved to parlay with Count Strahd in exchange for a miracle; he wanted to separate Shakti from her group. Instead, he learned his half-sister was dead, and Strahd locked him in the dungeons, starving and toying with the werewolf. Over a month later, however, Izek Strazni and the Heralds of Dawn rescued Kiril from his cell. He agreed to join them, and after Ghalwin made amends by giving him Shakti's Blood Spear, Kiril helped the party fight the vampire lord in the Slaying Of Strahd.
