The Nocturnal Colonies

Spread around the world, these Elvar colonies are connected by a series of Jesnite Corridors, a practice developed and jealously guarded by the Elvar

The hub of these gates, and most prominent of the colonies, is called Umbryx, which is located in Aure Nova

Territory Size: Encompassing a lush island of 50 square miles north of Shinryu, surrounded by beautiful coral reefs.

Defenses: The outpost is protected by a natural barrier of treacherous reefs, and dedicated Elvar and Orc guards.

Relations: Okru Outpost maintains tense relations with the Eldrisi and is occasionally visited by Kender exploring the seas. The presence of Orc and Zoa slaves adds a layer of complexity to its relationship with neighboring regions.

Notable Features: The island holds the Starshine Grove, a sacred forest filled with glowing flora.

Famdric

Hidden in the mountains of Jinshin

Population: Approximately 1,200 Elvar inhabitants and 400 Orc and Zoa slaves.

Territory Size: Hidden amidst the misty mountains of Jinshin, the haven extends across 120 square miles of breathtaking landscapes.

Defenses: Famdric's magical barriers and dedicated Orc and Zoa guards protect it from prying eyes and potential threats.

Relations: Due to the conflicts that plague Jinshin, no one has taken serious issue with the existence of Famdric.  The Elvar sell weapons and goods to both sides of the conflicts.

Notable Features: The Starforge Observatory, a marvel of Elvar craftsmanship, surveys the skies and tracks celestial phenomena.

Raetruith

Nestled near a river that flows through Saharian Empire

Population: Around 1,300 Elvar inhabitants and 700 Zoa. The settlement includes 200 Orc and Human slaves.

Territory Size: Established along the river that flows through Saharia, the settlement spans 90 square miles of vibrant landscapes.

Dodryr

Positioned in the mountains north of New Ascelia

Population: Approximately 1,000 Elvar inhabitants, 200 Gnomes, 600 Orc and Zoa slaves, and small numbers of other races seeking refuge.

Territory Size: Situated in the mountainous region north of New Ascelia, the foothold spans 110 square miles, rich with mineral deposits.

Defenses: Dodryr Foothold is protected by skilled Elvar fighters, dedicated Orc and Zoa guards, and magical wards to deter potential threats.

Relations: The foothold maintains cautious interactions with New Ascelia, trading resources and maintaining diplomacy.

Notable Features: Due to the scarcity of Jesnite in Nordavia (it cannot be mined there, only traded), Dodryr pulls in a lot of its profits from the creation and sale of magical items.  A gnomish company has set down roots here to contribute to this endeavor.

Vuirzi

Deep in the forest near The Lombardic Region

Population: 700 Elvar inhabitants, with an additional 100 Humans and 200 Orc and Zoa slaves adding to the mix of cultures.

Territory Size: Situated deep within the Lombardic forest, Vuirzi spans over 80 square miles, its architecture blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings.

Notable Features: The Twilight Altar - Hidden within the heart of the Lombardic forest, Vuirzi is home to the mystical Twilight Altar, an ancient structure left by ancient Dymarnians said to hold the secrets of the night. Elvar scholars and skilled practitioners gather at the altar to conduct rituals, commune with celestial energies, and unlock the secrets of their nocturnal powers. Legends tell of its ability to channel the magic of the night and bestow blessings upon those who seek its power.

Arlei

Located in a small forest within the The Feral East, Kender Territory

Population: Arlei is home to a relatively small population of around 500 Elvar inhabitants, making it one of the more intimate colonies established by the Elvar across the world. Additionally, there is a significant number of Kender and other local races, fostering a diverse and inclusive community.  That's right, there are no slaves in Arlei.  The Kender would not allow it.  The Orcs that were brought here could not be controlled, and now run rampant in the Feral East.

Territory Size: The territory claimed by Arlei encompasses approximately 60 square miles, most of which is farmland.

Defenses: Arlei does not have very much in the way of heavy defenses, which is similar to other settlements within the The Feral East, Kender Territory, as it is too disorganized for any large forces to be mobilizing and attacking.

Relations: The relationship between the Elvar of Arlei and the Kender is one of genuine friendship and cooperation, and the Elvar have even learned from the Hin. The Elvar have earned the respect and trust of the Kender by embracing their way of life and supporting their independence.  Leadership in Ebonryft is not happy about the cultural shift that had to occur here in order to make use of the insanely fertile land surrounding Arlei, feeling it is a threat to their very way of life.  The ideas being explored here are beginning to expand to Umbryx as well.

Part of the reason Arlei has been difficult to keep to the status quo is because for some reason, the Jesnite Corridor that leads here from Umbryx breaks down or hiccups often.
