Start: 18th of Excitol, morning, emerging from the Teleportation Circle to the evocation school of Astralreach Academy in Sedesend.
Before leaving Qir'ellan'alak, Nesdin amde 2 drawings of Xan'alith'alan and Magnus "Johnson" Thaumalor holding hands with Nesdin in the center. He delivered one picture to Xan'alith'alan. The party then bought some spell components from Soma, then prepared a Teleportation Circle.
Teleporting into Astralreach Academy, the Bill's Bimbos, Argus von Steinberg, Killian Sweeney, and the pets all tumbled through the circle. Getting their bearings, a nearby voice questioned them accusingly, before she recognized Nesdin. June Runsk greeted the party and directed them to give over their names for her Teleportation Circle report before directing them out of the chamber to the office of Magnus "Johnson" Thaumalor. Exiting, they ran into Ori Forester and Rook, friends of Nesdin and fellow Evocation wizard students. They then ascended the stairs and entered the head evocation office.
Inside, Magnus "Johnson" Thaumalor was hosting a faculty meetings, with a variety of Evocation professors reviewing coursework. Magnus "Johnson" Thaumalor cleared the room and invited the Bill's Bimbos, greeting everyone as chief, sport, champ, and son. He congratulated Nesdin on his progress, but was set back by him abandoning his Teleportation Circle task for Xan'alith'alan (Magnus "Johnson" Thaumalor instead sends Erol Grandisimo in his place). They talked with Magnus "Johnson" Thaumalor on current events: the school and the Goldguard are nervous after a visit from an envoy of the Chrysun Gales visited and demanded the release of Ereus Sol'ahn by the end of the month - it is publicly thought that the emperor Isaac Olessar III and the Hydra Collective flatly denied the request. Magnus "Johnson" Thaumalor then described his own work investigating a string of magical crimes across Olessar through Vaati, Ra'Munda, and Highbrothers, with him releasing Nesdin in that pursuit (he cleared Nesdin of suspicion with his evidence of the other transmutation crimes which Nesdin has an alibi for - fighting in The Crucible). He also dared Rohtagels to attack him, giving him "one good shot," which Rohtagels decided not to take.
The group then left Astralreach Academy and made their way to Moonlit Haven. They checked in with Maria Silva, got a room, and went to bed. Calliope split off, went to the Merry Minstrel, made a performance and got his own room. That night, around 11pm, he cast Dream on Ballidyr Josephon, tormenting with terrible, all-consuming, and torturous imagery for the remainder of the night. Ballidyr Josephon died on the morning of the 19th of Excitol, becoming the next victim of the Swansong list. Calliope next named Fictus Aborenzo (1 month, 19th of Tamtir deadline). Additionally, the 23 Cha requirements for Swansong became available to Calliope.
With just over a week until the Battle of the Bards, the group took some downtime. Calliope and Aoife Sweeney got new clothes from Threads by Peche, observing on Lyra and their Autognomes getting metal tuxedos. The Bill's Bimbos shopped at Bottled Lightning, selling some magic items (Tunnelbreaker Pickaxe, Necrolace, Corrupted Warhammer) and bought a Portable Hole. They sold of their gems and deep crystals to Mirwen at Arcane Adornments. Aoife Sweeney spent time with Killian Sweeney, understanding his Illithid research and sending messages back home to Biggityburg, telling Pippa Sweeney back home that he's alive and a Fairy now. Killian Sweeney and Aoife Sweeney caught up, and Aoife Sweeney also checked in with Ideleno "Ide" Perrin and Princess. Ideleno "Ide" Perrin is doing well in Rookmore, the city is recovered and business as usual has spun back up now that Dismalaravas is gone (and dead now) and the Vaakbonds returned to Qir'ellan'alak. Princess was vague, and indicated that business is spinning back up, and is busy establishing new clients and networks.
It is during this time that Argus von Steinberg slips away and leaves town, and Bill Brouwen succeeds in making a healing potion while attempting to reconnect with Sheri Bluesum
The rest of the month passes, and at sunset on the 1st of Tamtir, the bards and teams gathered at the Tauma Auditorium. It was here that Calliope spied some familiar faces: Shell Silverstein is one of the hosts, Dean Dyel Dekaani is hosting (noted that no faculty from the College of the Swan were available to host), Baldwin the Bold and his Bad Batch along with Lyra and the Autognomes were competing. Additionally, near the front of the pack, he spied 8 identical, fringed cowboy hats - Multiplicity is here too.
