Ebbek Grennruk

Ebbek Grennruk was born into a respected line of Dwarf smiths in the Brazenthrone tradition, and followed the will of his kith and kin. Though never counted among the great masters of his lineage, he spent a century at the forge and became steady and capable across a wide range of crafts. Unlike most of his kind, he tired of routine and sought change beyond the halls of his birth, and left the Crowncrest Mountains seeking a change of scenery. Ebbek traveled southwest to the Human forest town of Wistimere, believing its position along the River Wisting would one day bring varied work and new trade.

In northern Wistimere he founded Ebbek's Mercantile, serving loggers and tradesmen who worked the Woods of Elenmyr. He stocked a broad assortment of practical goods, shaping tools of many kinds, though axes were his most frequent commission. After the Raids Of Umli and the town’s decision to halt forest trade, demand for timber tools declined. Ebbek adapted by turning his shop toward cookery supplies, herbal remedies, and simple folk potions. The change brought modest returns, but the Mercantile endured as a steady fixture in the town’s life.
