Davian Martikov

In Curse Of Strahd, the winery was overrun by Blights and forest-folk. Davian took the rest of his family to the woods beyond the vineyard. There, they schemed for days until Pack arrived at Urwin's behest. Davian did not get along with or trust the strangers, but Adrian assisted them anyway, and the adventurers re-took the winery from the druids. Davian sheepishly rewarded the adventurers for their work with a diamond necklace he had possessed for most of his life.

Afterwards, they learned that the last of the three stones had been stolen by the druids of Yester Hill, intended to be made into an effigy to Strahd von Zarovich. Davian denied Adrian from volunteering and decided to accompany the party, as he ultimately felt responsible for losing the last of his family's treasure. As a unit, they destroyed the druidic conclave and felled Wintersplinter, and returned to the winery with the green gemstone in hand.

Despite this victory, the winery's communication with the Blue Water Inn was worsened after the Riots Of The Blazing Sun. In addition to fostering pro-Strahd sentiment, Fiona began implementing rumors that Ravens were creatures of bad luck, and ordered any ravens to be killed and have their bodies put on to display. This, along with belief that Strahd was the "Devil" who could not be spoken about, ran extremely contrary to the town's culture.

However, in tandem with Strahd breaching the city's walls, the riots and revolution, and an absence of Dream Pastry causing many in the town to undergo severe withdrawal systems, the belief became generally accepted. As a result, the Blue Water Inn's reputation heavily suffered, and Urwin had to withdraw most of their spy network. Davian stopped sending his ravens east, as they were shot out of the skies in the areas around Vallaki.

After months, Ghalwin of the Grove returned with a new group of adventurers, Heralds of Dawn. Davian was convinced to have his family look out for the missing Lydia Petrovna and Lancelot, and struck a deal with the Devilborn Mormeros Fayan. If the mists of Barovia were to somehow be lifted, he would give Mormeros a fifty percent stake in the Wizard of Wines in exchange for the merchant fronting their increased production costs.

The Heralds would return months later, though lost Mormeros in the process. In their adventures, they recovered the other two gemstones, and Davian was able to place back into the winery's soil. In thanks, he allowed Adrian to join them at Old Bonegrinder, who scouted to provide them with information for their final confrontation. This ultimately resulted in the Slaying Of Strahd, and the Keepers of the Feather were no longer divided, having understood the source of Urwin's shame.
