Adrian Martikov

As the eldest son of Davian Martikov and the heir to the Wizard of Wines, Adrian Martikov was introduced to the Keepers of the Feather at a young age. A Wereraven by birth, he was grew to be grizzled and pragmatic to keep the Keeper's secret; but like the most of the Martikov family, he was easier to get along with than the average Barovian. Fearing his father but often disagreeing with him, Adrian was more trusting of outsiders than most, and got along well with Adventurers from beyond the Gloomshrouds. He would often swap stories and personal items with adventurers and Vistani, much to Davian's chagrin, and deeply valued his "otherworldly" garments he purchased from the Prime Material.

When his younger brother Urwin Martikov left the winery for Vallaki, cutting ties with his father, Adrian became his only point of contact. He kept correspondence via Ravens, and occasionally visited when delivering wine to the Blue Water Inn. Though he had a good relationship with his brother, Adrian was never quite able to get Urwin to tell the truth about how the family's grey Gemstone of Life Growth had been stolen, and what caused Urwin's eventual estrangement.

Without his brother to assist with running the Wizard of Wines, Adrian took on a larger role in distribution, and mostly buried himself in work, never marrying or siring kids of his own. The winery was increasingly subject to attacks by Blights, tribespeople, and Scarecrows, causing Adrian to become focused solely on defending the vineyard. In the first siege, swamp-folk stole the blue gemstone, restricting their ability to produce quality wines. A month later, they were again overrun; this time, Adrian took the rest of his family to the woods beyond the vineyard, and the Wizard was officially lost.
