Valori

Valori was a Human who lost her parents at an incredibly young age, leaving her orphaned on the streets of Oldoan. However, she was not alone; her fraternal twin Vesper, ten minutes her junior, always made sure she had someone to look out for. The twins grew to rely on the other, with the stockier Valori protecting and distracting for the lithe Vesper to steal food and goods.

As teenagers, the orphaned thieves were eventually caught stealing from a wealthy traveler. However, the person they failed to rob would end up changing their lives forever: they were caught by the Gold Dragonborn Vermhaxaandes Sharhydrox. The Spellcaster was interested in the pair, and was looking to train able young Adventurers of suitable potential. In Vesper and Valori, he saw something, and took the two in, developing their skills as they traveled.

Not long after, Hydrox introduced them to a previous recruit, the Crossborn Druid Lola Windwisper. All three had once been urchin girls in Oldoan, and got on well, forming a sort of unexpected sisterhood that transcended blood. In this period, Lola taught Valori skills in wielding armor and shields, as Vesper taught her how to shoot a bow. She became become a talented Warrior, drawing focus so her Ranger sister could flank her, and the twins developed a tag-team fighting style centered on speed and mutual dependance. They proved their worth to Hydrox, who eventually gave them each a Riding Horse from his personal stock: Valori would gain Fudgeeo, and formed a strong bond with the horse.

Eventually, the retinue was joined by another recruit, the ancient Angelborn Auberon who had recently obtained powers as a Sorcerer. At Hydrox's behest, they officially formed the Vermin, an adventuring party based out of the old Umlian Church. The dragonborn, who had always regularly left on secret missions unknown to the Vermin, became an increasingly rare sight in the ghost town of Umli. He returned extremely infrequently, but typically came back to guide them on quests, test their skills, or send them on seemingly-random missions.

In her adventures that followed her training, Valori would acquire wealth and interesting items such as a Candle of the Deep and a splint armor set made from Mithral, though never allowed herself to rest on her laurels. She was an untrusting young woman prone to moments of silliness or triviality, and could not truly shed the mindset of a poor orphaned thief.
